OK, not enuf said...Just watched the 'press conference' of the appointment of Roland Burris. To say it was bizarre would be an understatement. Blago, whose attorney said 10 days ago that he wouldn't appoint anyone, said that he supported the special election legislation but since it failed, he had to appoint someone. OF course, the legislation failed before Crazy Rod's attorney said he would appoint...but who cares about details.
In the middle of Burris' comments, Congressman Bobby Rush walked into the press conference appearantly unannounced and then made his way to the lectern to participate. Rush then went on to "Thank God" for the appointment and action by Crazy Rod and talk for longer than Burris or Blago had combined in their statements. Rush laid it on think about what a great public servant Burris has been for Illinois and is the only person who can 'stand in the gap' and restore credibility to Illinois. Rush continued by adding that he can't believe that any Democrat Senator would stand in the way of seating an African American to the US Senate because there are no African Americans in the US Senate. He also challenged Jesse White to reverse himself and certify Burris.
Crazy Rod is a media-craving whore. Burris is a power-hungry whoe. Rush is a wanna-be whore. All whores, though...
