The Rally for Common Sense went better than anyone expected!  Well, anyone who actually thinks that something has to happen in IL govt to make it work properly thought the Rally was a success.  

Everyone else who sits on the sidelines and whines they can keep whining and bitching and wringing their hands as the world passes them by.

***These guys were at the Rally and make complete sense when it comes to what should happen with state employees and office space in Springfield.  Of course, when 'sense' runs into the Blago administration, things get weird.

A CMS spokeswoman, Cybil Rose, on Tuesday said any vacant space in state office buildings is already committed to other uses and cannot house employees of the Illinois Department of Transportation’s Division of Traffic Safety. She refused to say how the vacant space will be used.

And, yet:  “The agencies were very candid with us,” Bomke said. “What I find interesting, if (CMS) has plans for these spaces, these departments don’t know anything about it.”

See, perfect sense..

***The Chicago City Council, in a rare moment of clarity, reversed its politically correct stand on goose liver.  Also, in the news, Hell seeing record cooling today...

***Gambling opponents to expanded horse race betting are relying on a 1994 survey that the voters should be allowed to vote on expanded gambling.  Fine.  Let's have a referendum on expanded gambling.  Let's have a referendum on bringing a HUGE, GIGANTIC, STAR-SPANGLED, BOOZE-FLOWING, LAND BASED CASINO right here in lil' ol' Springfield.

***Once, again, the liberal drum beat of getting Hillary out of the race are reaching a fevered pitch.  Again, wonder if they would be saying the same thing if The Obama was only about 1% behing Hillary?  Yeah, didn't think so...Mary Mitchell also believes that Hillary has won a majority of white voters because they are racist (based on some anecdotes from Obama campaign volunteers).  Shouldn't the reverse question be asked: if 96% of black voters support The Obama, why isn't that considered racist?

***The Carpentersville Trustee who referred to two children who were climbing in a tree as 'monkeys' will fight the ticket.  From a parent who has two children that swim like 'fishys', good for ya'!
