***Single, payer Candadian style health care coming to IL thanks to Rep. Flowers.  OK, so let's get this straight...All of Blago's health care initiatives have been unmitigated disasters - docs to take Kid Care or Family Care; nobody is signing up for Vet Care; the elderly are shunning his prescription plan; and, he has managed to destroy Medicaid payments in IL by not paying at a proper rate and then not paying for 120+ days.  Remember, there is at least one hospital in Chicago that has closed its doors and is moving to WI because this administration didn't pay its bills.

NOW, Rep. Flowers and the House Dems want to put ALL OF US into this system headed by one of the most corrupt, vindictive, patronage-ripe administrations in the History of Illinois.  Does that make you feel safe with your health care?

***Ralph Martire, again, proposes, in vague terms, tax increases to continue socializing Illinois.  This time Ralph notes that with a weak economy the public will demand more services and so, they should get them with 'revenue reform':

Since public sector revenues primarily come from taxes — and taxes are not, surprise surprise, politically popular, elected officials tend to substitute poor fiscal practices (like not making the full employer contribution owed to public employee pension systems, an Illinois favorite) or rhetoric (you know, like “tighten the belt”) or some combination thereof, rather than actually tackling revenue reform.

***The Sun-Times reports today that there were 37 shootings over the weekend in Chicago.  Boy, oh, boy, that gun ban sure is working in the Windy City...

***Please.  Everybody knows that the Indiana Jones movie this summer is going to be HUGE.  I can't wait...

***The Philly Dem Debate parodies.  Good stuff...
