We Are Back.

After four days of rest and relaxation, the Kelm & Kirk Spring Break comes to an end...

***Today on the Big Show - State Rep. Mike Tyron to discuss his bill on State Transparency.

***Jesse Jackson doesn't think the War on Terror is a good idea.  He trots out the tired refrain that 'we're not really safe because of the war'; 'our reputation is damaged across the world'; 'nothing has been accomplished in Iraq or the Middle East'; and, of course, the old faithful, 'if we weren't spending the money on the war, we could've provided everything to everybody - health care, housing, more big govt.'

***In Zorn's column, once again a journalist points to the vast numbers of independents and Republican voters who love The Obama:

And when I say "we," I think I speak for more than just the liberal Democrats who've favored Obama in his bid for the presidency. I think I speak also for vast segments of independent and Republican voters who saw in Obama a reassuring, even self-flattering transcendence of race.

Journalists and liberal opinion writers love to mention how when they speak to their GOP friends they all say how much they admire The Obama.  Here's the thing, I speak with A LOT OF GOP VOTERS, voters that haven't missed an election in decades, and, you know what, NONE of them are voting for, like or respect The Obama.

***Friend of the Kelm & Kirk Show, Greg Blankenship's column in today's SJ-R.

***The Obama believes that he will be able to convince independents and Republicans that his way is the best way; that HUGE, liberal govt is the only way to go.  What happened to the middle ground?  There is no middle ground with this guy - it is his way only...

He said he was a progressive and a pragmatist, eager to tackle the big issues like health care and convinced that the Democrats could — and should — rally independents and disaffected Republicans to their agenda. Only then, he said, could the party achieve what it has so rarely won in modern presidential elections: a mandate to do big things.
